MAY 15

UNDERSTANDING and OPTIMIZING COGNITIVE DIVERSITY

Many of us may feel like things are out of our control right now—but one powerful choice that remains in our hands is how we build our teams. With diversity comes different thinking styles

In this session, we'll explore what cognitive diversity is, how it helps us build better teams, and how to navigate both the challenges and responses. Together, we’ll learn how to harness this power to strengthen our teams and move forward—no matter what’s happening around us.

Guest Presenter: Michelle M. Roark PhD.

Michelle Roark is the Sr. Learning Consultant in the Office of Trainee Affairs at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Michelle earned a PhD in developmental psychology and has two decades of experience in academia as an instructor and researcher. Michelle is using these skills to support research trainees in the Abigail Wexner Research Institute through a variety of professional development opportunities.

next Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion SIG is July 17
