Event Description:

Are you ready to start the new year off by kicking your career into high gear? Join us as we hear from Nikole Pettus as she guides us through tips and tricks to take our seat at the table and elevate our careers! During this training, Ms. Pettus will help you leap forward by discussing how to find your confidence, inner voice, as well as providing resources that will aid in the advancement of you!

Nikole D. Pettus is a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner with Columbus State Community College (CSCC); in this role, she develops sourcing strategies, candidate assessment, and establishes robust hiring standards, all while ensuring the college’s brand is upheld. At CSCC, Nikole is a member of the Women’s and African American ERG. Nikole is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, community outreach, and women’s empowerment. She currently co-facilitates the annually required Implicit Bias at CSCC.

In previous roles, she has served as the Chair of the Workforce Development Subcommittee where she promoted community outreach through job fairs and helped develop a resource room for employees to use for self-guided training.

Nikole is also a mentor to recent graduates; she uses her knowledge of hiring practices and on-demand skills to assist her mentees with their career goals, which she feels is her way of reaching back and pulling others along as she continues on her career path to success. The Senate recognized Nikole for her participation in the Progressive Leadership Academy. Nikole is a Resume Writer for Franklin University, which is where she obtained her MBA; she also holds a B.S. degree in Consumer Affairs and Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
