KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

We are excited to announce that this year’s conference features two amazing keynotes, Megan Torrance and Nick Floro.!

About Megan:

Megan Torrance is CEO and founder of TorranceLearning, and has over 25 years of experience in learning design, deployment and consulting. Megan and the TorranceLearning team are passionate about sharing what works so they devote considerable time to sharing professional development in her field.

Megan is the author of Agile for Instructional Designers, Data & Analytics for Instructional Designers, and Making Sense of xAPI. She is also a Facilitator with eCornell's Women's Executive Leadership certificate, and courses in virtual teaming, team leadership and communication.

Megan will present “Data & Analytics for Instructional Designers”

We will look at what it takes to get started with learning data and analytics. In this session you’ll have an opportunity to explore a process for using data in your organization via several case studies from real world implementations. After a brief introduction to the xAPI data standard, we’ll explore creating a data strategy, identifying questions to be explored, instrumenting for data, storing & working with data, and ultimately analyzing and visualizing the data as part of a process for making change. You’ll see the tools needed to send, store and analyze data, and several templates, tools & documents to make getting started easy.

About Nick:

Nick Floro is a co-founder and chief learning architect at Sealworks Interactive Studios with over 30 years of experience developing learning experiences, applications, and web platforms. Nick is passionate about how design and technology can enhance learning and loves to share his knowledge to teach, inspire, and motivate. Nick gets to sketch, imagine, and prototype to craft learning experiences for audiences of all ages, reaching millions of learners annually

Nick will present “Learning Trends to Know, Adopt + Grow Your Skills:

In this jam session, we will take an in-depth look at current trends from AI to Mixed Realities to Designing Content and explore simple to inexpensive tools and technologies that can help you and your team jump forward in crafting amazing learning experiences. You’ll learn about the trend, see examples and provide practical resources and tools you can apply to grow and integrate into your next project. This fun session will give you dozens of ideas and reboot your brain with fresh perspectives on enhancing your learning today.

We will close out our conference with an interactive panel “Ask Us Anything” with both Megan and Nick
