Are you faced with a complex issue in your business that is impacting productivity, employee performance, and the bottom line? You know... one of those that keeps you awake at night because you have all kinds of ideas to solve it jumbled in your head by you don't know where to start?

The Alber Enterprise Center of The Ohio State University has developed The BRIDGE: Issue Management Process, a six-step process for solving complex issues that will bring clarity to your issue and a tangible road map to enable you to design a comprehensive solution in hours instead of struggling with it for months or years.

During this session, you will have the opportunity to actively apply The BRIDGE process to an outstanding issue at your work.

Presenters:

Myra Wilson (M.S., SPHR) took the reins three years ago as program director for the Alber Enterprise Center (AEC) at The Ohio State University Marion Campus. Under her leadership, AEC has changed its focus from brokering workforce development training to more comprehensive organization development and performance management consulting with employers throughout Ohio. As part of Ohio State’s Extension Community Development program area, AEC enhances the well-being of communities by strengthening the organizations who employ the citizens. Her experience in human resources management, customized training development, and her own entrepreneurial instincts combine to give Myra the ability to understand diverse organizational challenges.

Myra holds a Master of Science, Communication, Education and Leadership from The Ohio State University College of Food, Agriculture & Environmental Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts, Business/Organization Communications, emphasis Human Resources from Otterbein University, Westerville, OH. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.

Frank Gibson’s diverse experience includes over 20 years in manufacturing management, 8 years in vocational adult education, 3 years with the state government workforce and economic development, and 12 years in university program management. Strengths include listening to clients’ needs, analyzing and recommending solutions, facilitation, strategic planning, and building long-term collaborative networks.

Anne Johnson has spent her career working with people – in health care, long term care, fundraising and organization development, serving in several leadership roles. She has developed training curriculums for grief and loss, developed statewide programs for advocacy and faith based institutions and administered a continuing education program for a multi-site long term care organization. Anne now works as a Program Manager for the Alber Enterprise Center, focusing on the senior services sector and is a trained facilitator for The Leadership Challenge. In addition to her role with the Alber Enterprise Center, she also teaches graduate students as a faculty member for Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan focusing on critical thinking, managerial communication skills and organization development.

Anne holds a Master of Science, Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University in Beckley, West Virginia and earned a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio.
