ABOUT THE EVENT

Today’s modern learner is distracted and overwhelmed by their responsibilities. Where does this leave time for training and development? Basically, shoehorned into an average of 24 minutes per week.

Let’s face it: working smarter, not harder means finding ways to offer valuable training that employees can use (and that “sticks” for longer than a few minutes). For companies of every size, experiential learning points towards the answer. The old adage rings true – “I hear and I forget , I see and I remember , I do and I understand”. Join us in discussing how to increase UNDERSTANDING with your employees.

David Bleedorn is a Talent Development professional whose career started in Operations working in Automotive Assembly Plants where the lack of training affected worker/team performance including his own. He began working internally to create training for the front line management and hourly teams who directly secured customer satisfaction daily.

Advancing through his career, he implemented Onboarding, Communication and Leadership courses within his company. That led to the opportunity to lead the implementation of a Global training platform for Voith (a 5 Billion dollar German company) involving four divisions across North America. A fantastic challenge involving 4500 employees from Canada to Mexico. For the past two years he led Venture Out programming at Joy Outdoor Education Center  in Clarksville Ohio, where he worked with many clients on adding/enhancing Experiential Education into their curriculum for developing leaders within their organizations. With certifications in “Crucial Conversations”, “Influencer”, and “Transformational Leadership”.
